A busy suggestions channel should stay scannable. Threads keep questions, tradeoffs and follow-up conversation beside the idea without burying the next submission.

Connected context
The thread starts from the suggestion message, so members can move between the idea, its vote totals and the discussion.
Resolution cleanup
When staff resolve a suggestion, Aethor attempts to archive the associated discussion thread.

Open the setup dashboard
Run /setup modify for the suggestion channel you want to change.

Choose thread behavior
Enable automatic threads or configure the optional thread button.

Aethor needs Manage Threads and Send Messages in Threads in the suggestion channel.

Does Aethor create a thread for every suggestion?+
Only when automatic threads are enabled. Otherwise you can expose a button that creates a thread when someone wants to discuss the idea.
What permissions are required?+
The bot needs Manage Threads and Send Messages in Threads, along with its normal suggestion-channel permissions.
Is this the same as Aethor's thread-support feature?+
No. Suggestion threads belong to the suggestion workflow. Thread Support is a separate feature that opens a support thread for every message in one configured channel.
